Leak checks, roof condition and maintenance planning
A roof inspection can investigate a leak, check general condition or help plan maintenance. We agree the purpose and accessible areas first. Previous inspection findings and repair records are useful if a leak has returned or you are comparing repair proposals.
Agreeing the inspection and explaining the findings
- Before booking, confirm the purpose, areas to be inspected, fee and any photos or written records you need.
- Inspect the agreed roof and drainage areas safely. Explain the findings, anything we could not inspect and whether further checks are needed.
- Explain which repairs are urgent and which maintenance can be planned. Repair work is quoted separately.
Roof inspections are chargeable. We confirm the fee and scope before booking. The inspection excludes concealed or unsafe areas. A roof inspection is not automatically a building, engineering or insurance report; tell us any specific report requirements before booking.

We check safely accessible tiles or sheets, ridge caps, valleys, flashings, gutters and downpipes within the agreed scope. Before booking, we confirm the inspection areas and fee. Tell us if you need photographs, written findings or a particular report format; we confirm what we can provide for your property. Repair work is quoted separately.
A separate quote for repair work
If repairs are needed, the written quote identifies the area, fault, materials, access and work included. Further investigation or additional work is explained and agreed before it proceeds.
Roof and drainage checks before winter rain
We can check damaged tiles, loose capping, flashings, valleys and gutter debris before seasonal rain. We plan safe access and prioritise the repairs found. Keep your own observations at ground level.
